Commissions are always welcome. All painted with a high
degree of care and professionalism.
If you would like something specific that is not in the image
gallery, Ted can offer a range of no obligation ideas that may
fit your requirements.
Any work is undertaken, albeit, a portrait, nude or erotic
art, landscape, cityscape or nature. The essence of a good
painting or sketch is that the original material is good. To
interpret a personality from a good photograph is challenging.
Therefore a portrait or live model is preferable. (Price will be on application.)

To deal
with the obvious question first...
...no, I didn’t feel embarrassed.
Posing for Ted was very easy. In fact, it was
a great pleasure for me to be able to play a
part in the artistic development of a lifelong
and valued friend. Ted clearly experiences great
joy when he is “at work”, and his
professional focus is self evident. Actually,
his relaxed personality and the tranquil
ambience of his studio made my modelling
experience an ideal opportunity to take some
time out from the usual frenetic pace of life in
Birmingham – with or without clothes!
I was very excited to see the paintings when
Ted was finally satisfied that they were
complete. For me, they are testimony to Ted’s
unquestionable artistic talent and hard work,
and to his ambition and determination to develop
as an artist. Furthermore, they reflect the
mutual respect of model and artist and of
trusted and valued friends.
I like them, and it is a wonderful thought
that I may be hanging on somebody’s wall a long
time from now, together with Ted’s signature. |
