Bridge Opening - 26th April 2008.
At the ceremony of a new bridge over the renovated canal
lock in Lichfield, Ted Hiscock painted the scene on site
whilst the Mayor of Lichfield declared the bridge open
in the presence of the local MP, dignitaries from
Lichfield and its two twinned communities in France &
Germany.

attitude has city lagging behind
A prestigious charity which helps fund Birmingham's
museums has accused civic leaders of undermining the
city's cultural heritage through "discourteous

26 October 2006 - A Breath Of Fresh Air

Hollinshead Interiors. With special guest, actor,
David Suchet

It was at this exhibition that David (an old school
friend) and Ted signed the back of a painting of a canal
near Lichfield, and put the piece up for auction. David
is the Vice President of the Lichfield & Hatherton Canal
Restoration Trust. The piece of art was auctioned for
£1000. All proceeds went to the charity. Towards the end
of 2007, a limited edition of 100 signed prints will be
released by the
Lichfield & Hatherton Canal Restoration Trust for
purchase.

Opened by Lord and Lady Corbett. Her ladyship took the
floor for the opening words followed by Diane Benussi
and then Ted delivered the most interesting speech,
ranging from attacking the National Health for the
better of his Erdington community to, obviously, his new
work.
